BEWDLEY WI: At the November meeting, Carole Carlton of ‘Mrs Darley’s Teas’ (Bewdley Museum) gave a very informative talk on the history of tea and the therapeutic values of different blends. The meetings are held the first Monday of the month at St George’s Hall 7.30pm and new members are welcome. December is a ticket only meeting with guest soprano and Italian themed evening.
  4. Wheels for the World
WHEELS FOR THE WORLD: The World Health Organisation reports an estimated 1% of the world’s population, or just over 65 million people, need a wheelchair. Many people in many countries do not have the money or opportunity to buy one. “Wheels for the World” is a programme of the Christian charity “Through the Roof” and has worked over 20 years restoring and distributing previously used wheelchairs. This practical expression of God’s love continues to give disabled people independence. On November 18 at 3pm we invite you to come along to Bewdley Baptist Church and find out more about this amazing project. There will be films, a buffet and a quiz. Tickets at £4 each are available from Bev and Mark on 01299 823505 or by ringing the church office in the week on 01299 403267. There will be an opportunity to make a donation to support the work of the charity.
  5. Bewdley Civic Society
BEWDLEY CIVIC SOCIETY: The society’s third annual Balsam Bash is being extended this year and we should be delighted to see interested people come along and help.
